Longarm Quilting

I offer edge-to-edge digital quilting. The design will be stitched in the same pattern over the entire quilt surface, regardless of the pieced elements. We will work together to choose a pattern that will enhance the style and beauty of your quilt top. Choose a pattern from the selection on my Designs pages. If you know of a design you want that I don’t own, I will split the cost of it with you. I often add new designs.

My studio is pet free and smoke free.

Still looking for something that catches your eye? Let's talk, and I can provide you options of places to explore.

Edge-To-Edge Pricing

Quilt Top Preparation

TOP – Use painter’s tape or a safety pin to mark the top edge of the quilt. This is important when choosing a quilting design that may be directional.

BACKING – The backing needs to measure at least 4 inches larger than the quilt top on all four sides. For the example quilt of 72” X 90”, the back should measure 80” X 98”, after it is squared. When piecing a back, use a 1/2” seam allowance, and please trim the selvedge before sewing. Your backing may be larger than specified, but it may not be smaller. Please note, if the back requires trimming to make it square, there will be an additional $10 charge.

BATTING - The batting also needs to measure at least 4 inches larger than the quilt top on all four sides. For the example quilt of 72” X 90”, the batting will measure 80” X 98”.

Special Batting Information

Please provide a high-quality batting of your choice with the quilt top and backing.

Brands like Hobbs and Quilters Dream, among others, are examples of high-quality batting. If you would like me to purchase batting for you, I’m happy to do that. The cost will be added to your invoice with an additional $10 convenience charge.

In the future, I will be stocking batting.

CLIP - Clip all loose threads from the back and top of the quilt. This prevents dark threads from showing through to the front.

PRESS - Well pressed seams are the foundation of a well quilted quilt. Make sure seams are pressed sharp and flat. Press both the backing and top before dropping off or mailing.

SHIPPING – For out-of-town clients, fold the three parts of the quilt – top, batting, back – separately, and place each in a plastic bag to protect from moisture. Put all three bags together for shipping. Return shipping, and additional insurance if requested, will be added to your invoice.
